This example is available in .../QW-3D/Standard/Antennas/AntennaArray/paarray8x8_45_45.QWpro in the QW-Modeller examples directory and can be loaded using File®Open Examples... command from main menu.


General Description

A rectangular patch antenna array designed with Patch Antenna Array module in QW-Modeller. The beam directions are: Phi=45 deg and Theta=45 deg.

 

     


Geometry

The geometry of the patch antenna array consists of infinitely thin (0 mm in thickness) rectangular patches placed on a 8x8 size grid placed on a grounded dielectric plate with height of 0.5mm.

Each patch is fed by wire with the point port in the middle.

The model is surrounded by superabsorbing (MUR) box.


Post Processing

 

Radiation pattern of the patch antenna array at 30.5 GHz and excitation amplitude distribution for each patch.

 

Radiation pattern of the patch antenna array at 30.5 GHz and excitation delay distribution for each patch.

 

The beam vector for Theta=45deg and Phi=45deg, and excitation delay distribution for each patch.

 

 

     

The Amplitude and Delay tables contain excitation amplitude and delay parameters for excitation points.
