1.3     Installation process

To install QW‑AddIn run start.exe file from the QuickWave installation DVD. To complete the installation process follow the instructions in the wizard. QW‑AddIn will be available for all users and all supported Autodesk® Inventor® software versions installed on the machine.

The default installation path is <Program Files folder>\QWED\QW-AddIn\<QW-AddIn version>, however it can be changed during installation.

Note:

Installation path is stored in a configuration file (<ProgramData>\Autodesk\Inventor AddIns\QW-AddIn_v<version number>.addin). It is used by the Autodesk® Inventor® software to register the QW‑AddIn. If the add-in installation path is manually changed, QW-AddIn will not be available until the above-mentioned configuration file is updated.

It is possible to have more than one version of the QW‑AddIn installed, although only the highest installed version is used by the Autodesk® Inventor® Software.
