2.13.2                Lossy wires

QuickWave allows for analysing lossy wires by determining their resistance. It is required to set wire diameter, which should obey certain conditions with respect to a cell size (see Warnings and errors).

In FDTD cells including wire, FDTD equations are modified to take wire diameter and 1/r field behaviour into account and the tangential E-field is set to zero.
