2011 IEEE MTT-S - Baltimore, Maryland
The IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium was held in Baltimore, MD. Please refer to the Conference website (www.ims2011.org) for details about the Conference and and to (https://ieeetv.ieee.org/player/html/viewer#ims-2011-overview) for sample recordings.

We were especially happy to see our friends and customers in our booth and at major IMS events:

Awards Banquet,  June 8, 2011
Prof. Wojciech Gwarek, President of QWED, was presented with the prestigious Microwave Pioneer Award from the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (http://www.mtt.org/news.html#mttsawards).

This Award recognises individuals or teams not exceeding three persons having made outstanding pioneering technical contributions that advance microwave theory and techniques, which are described in archival papers published at least 20 years prior to the year of the award. (http://www.mtt.org/ieee-and-mtt-s-awards.html)

Typically, only one Microwave Pioneer Award is granted yearly, and none has been granted since 2008 (http://www.mtt.org/past-awardees-microwave-pioneer-award.html).

QuickWave software has been developed by Prof. Gwarek and his team based on his pioneeering contributions awarded by the MTT Society this year. QuickWave has been commercialised worldwide by QWED since 1997.
