With the introduction of 64-bit versions of QuickWave software, simulation of projects occupying more than 4GB of RAM became possible. However, previous versions of File-Freeze function were not compatible with such big projects. Starting with version 7.5, this limitation has been removed. Simulated project of any size can be "frozen" and its analysis can be subsequently resumed.
A new option has been added for conveniently starting simulation from freeze files stored on CDs or in read only directories. If the simulation is started from *.sfr freeze file placed on CD or read only directory, the following message will be displayed:
After pressing Yes the user can select a new directory, where simulation files will be unpacked from freeze file. This directory will further be used as the project directory for the "unfrozen" project.
