12.1.5                Status Bar

Status Bar is the lower part of the Test Mesh window and shows various information about the state of the Test Mesh window.

statusbar

The left part of the status bar displays information about the cell coordinates (starting from bottom-left place) of the FDTD mesh cell pointed by a mouse cursor, expressed in the cell indexes.

The next part of the status bar displays information about the cell type and filling media of the FDTD cell pointed by a mouse cursor. If the FDTD cell is filled with one medium, the information about cell type and medium name is displayed (i.e. statusbar_fulldi means that the pointed FDTD cell is fully dielectric and the medium name is ‘air’).

In the case of conformal FDTD cell, the information about conformal cell type, media names and additionally the information about division coordinates are displayed (i.e. statusbar_divmet means that the pointed FDTD is divided with metal medium, the names of the media are ‘air’ and ‘metal’).

In the middle of status bar the name of the geometry element, simulation object like, e.g. transmission line ports, MUR wall/box, NTF box, etc. are displayed when pointed by mouse cursor.

The next section shows the information about currently displayed plane.

The following section shows the information about currently displayed layer and number of all layers (for current plane). For XY plane, we have two sublayers (up and down) per one layer and the particular sublayer is indicated with ‘d’ (statusbar_layer_d) or ‘u’ (statusbar_layer_u). Additionally, if suspended layers are visible (it can be activated with button_mesh_susp button from Mesh or LC tab or Layer->Suspended Layers command from main menu or context menu), then additional suspended layers can be shown and the information is displayed in the status bar (statusbar_layer_susp). For XY plane and V2D project, there is only one layer in Z direction and the layers information is in a form of statusbar_layer_v2d.

The last section shows the name of the project and number of current and all subcircuits.
