2.9.5 Radiation Parameters
The following radiation parameters are available:
· NTF frequency Fr
· radiated power Pr
· radiation efficiency Ef
· radiation resistance Rr
· current injected by source |I|^2
When characteristics at a single NTF frequency are displayed, the status bar presents information about Fr, Pr, Ef, Rr radiation parameters.
When the display includes characteristics at more than one NTF frequency, the information about all radiation parameters are displayed in the Values pane in the Antenna Parameters column. The Values pane contains information about visible curves such as name, domain, and value under active cursor and other parameters in separated columns, which can be chosen in Select Column dialogue.
Please note that:
radiation efficiency Ef at Fr is calculated only if S-Parameters post-processing is active and one of its frequencies is Fr; otherwise Ef=0 is displayed.
radiation resistance Rr at Fr is calculated only if FD-Probing post-processing at a lumped source is active and one of its frequencies is Fr; otherwise Rr=0 is displayed.
Power injected by source Pi at Fr is calculated only if S-Parameters post-processing at a source is active and one of its frequencies is Fr; otherwise Pi=0 is displayed.
Current injected by source |I|^2 at Fr is calculated only if FD-Probing post-processing at a source is active and one of its frequencies id Fr; otherwise |I|^2=0 is displayed.
radiated power Pr is positive when it is outgoing through the NTF box, which is the case in typical antenna simulations. In the analysis of scattering problems, net power may be incoming through the NTF box, in which case the value of Pr is negative.
