2.9     Level

The  button in the 2D Window toolbar and Setup->Level... command from 2D Window menu invoke Define Level dialogue.

Level Z allows setting current level of the local coordinate system; this will be the default level for positioning the bottom of the next drawn element.

DeafultH is the default height of the next element. The level as well as the current default height of the element to be created are displayed in the lower part of each 2D Window together with the cursor position expressed in the local coordinates. Note that this option is irrelevant for QW-V2D (V2Dcoa circuits), where the default level of 0 and height of 1 are fixed.

Medium is the default medium filling the next drawn element.

In the Bottom/top kind frame the mesh snapping properties of the next drawn element can be set:

·       Electric – will enforce the E-plane of FDTD meshing,

·       Magnetic – will enforce the H-plane of FDTD meshing,

·       Suspended – will enforce a plane suspended between those considered above.

Note that the intital Amigo status of the next drawn element is soft (it cannot be set in this Define Level dialogue but it can be modified afterwards in the Element Change).

Settings of the Define Level dialogue apply to all elements drawn afterwards (Draw-Element, Combined, Bi-phased Element, Bi-phased Combined) until new Define Level settings are made.
