6.19 I/O Ports Parameters
The button in Model tab and Parameters->I/O Ports... and I/O Ports->I/O Ports... commands from main menu invoke I/O Ports Parameters dialogue for managing electromagnetic parameters for ports defined in the project.
I/O Ports Parameters dialogue can be used for managing electromagnetic parameters (we suggest more convenient way of managing EM parameters using a set of dedicated dialogues) for the following ports:
· transmission line ports (we advise using Transmission Line Port dialogue). See I/O Port Parameters for transmission line ports chapter for more information.
· point sources and probes (we advise using Point/Probe dialogue). See I/O Port Parameters for point sources/probes or lumped impedances chapter for more information.
· lumped impedances (we advise using Lumped Impedance dialogue). See I/O Port Parameters for point sources/probes or lumped impedances chapter for more information.
· absorbing boundary condition (we advise using ABC Wall or ABC Box dialogue). See I/O Port Parameters for absorbing boundary conditions chapter for more information.
· plane waves (we advise using Plane Wave dialogue). See I/O Port Parameters for free space excitation with a plane wave or a Gaussian beam chapter for more information.
Basic assumptions for the QW-V2D approach regarding the ports settings are described in I/O Port parameters for QW-V2D ports chapter.
