4.8.2 Volume Envelope
Volume Envelope calculations are performed in each cell of the whole computational domain.
The following volume envelope types are available:
Vol Max - detects time-maximum of absolute value of the monitored component in each cell of the whole computational domain. The user may switch between planes and layers without interrupting the envelope construction. It will also be possible to save the envelope for the whole domain or only a sub-region of interest. This mode of display is signalled by /Vol Max in the 2D/3D Fields Distribution window title bar. If the 2D/3D Fields Distribution window is not in the dynamic refresh mode, the envelope is anyway constructed in the memory and the current data can be displayed at any construction time upon display refresh.
Envelope Vol Max calculations can be started using buton in Envelope tab or Envelope->Vol Max command from main menu or context menu.
Vol Avr - detects time-average of absolute value of the monitored component in each cell of the whole computational domain. The user may switch between planes and layers without interrupting the envelope construction. It will also be possible to save the envelope for the whole domain or only a sub-region of interest. This mode of display is signalled by /Vol Avr in the 2D/3D Fields Distribution window title bar. If the 2D/3D Fields Distribution window is not in the dynamic refresh mode, the envelope is anyway constructed in the memory and the current data can be displayed at any construction time upon display refresh.
Envelope Vol Avr calculations can be started using buton in Envelope tab or Envelope->Vol Avr command from main menu or context menu.
Vol Max EH Comp - detects time-maximum of absolute value of ALL (Ex, Ey, Ez, Hx, Hy, Hz) monitored components in each cell of the whole computational domain. The user may switch between planes and layers without interrupting the envelope construction. It will also be possible to save the envelope for the whole domain or only a sub-region of interest. This mode of display is signalled by /Vol Max EH Comp in the 2D/3D Fields Distribution window title bar. If the 2D/3D Fields Distribution window is not in the dynamic refresh mode, the envelope is anyway constructed in the memory and the current data can be displayed at any construction time upon display refresh.
Envelope Vol Max EH Comp calculations can be started using buton in Envelope tab or Envelope->Vol Max EH Comp command from main menu or context menu.
Vol Avr EH Comp - detects time-average of absolute value of ALL (Ex, Ey, Ez, Hx, Hy, Hz) monitored components in each cell of the whole computational domain. The user may switch between planes and layers without interrupting the envelope construction. It will also be possible to save the envelope for the whole domain or only a sub-region of interest. This mode of display is signalled by /Vol Avr EH Comp in the 2D/3D Fields Distribution window title bar. If the 2D/3D Fields Distribution window is not in the dynamic refresh mode, the envelope is anyway constructed in the memory and the current data can be displayed at any construction time upon display refresh.
Envelope Vol Avr EH Comp calculations can be started using buton in Envelope tab or Envelope->Vol Avr EH Comp command from main menu or context menu.
Avr S - detects time-average vector built of time-average components of momentary Poynting vector in each cell of the whole computational domain. This mode of display is signalled by /Avr S in the 2D/3D Fields Distribution title bar and is available only for Poynting vector S component for 3D Vector display.
Envelope Avr S calculations can be started using buton in Envelope or 3D Vector tab or Type->Vector->Avr S command from main menu or context menu.
