2.11 Manual operation of QW-Editor
In previous Sections we have been showing the application of QW-Editor in its typical way. More or less complicated 3D shapes have been created using the library UDOs or their combinations. However, all the commands of the UDO language have their equivalents available through QW‑Editor menus and/or Ribbon buttons. Therefore it is formally possible to use QW-Editor in a manual way. Such an approach may be an interesting alternative, especially for drawing simpler structures. Moreover, some practice with manual software operation can be helpful in both preparation of new UDOs and verification of their correctness.
Thus throughout this chapter we will show several examples introduced manually via the system of QW-Editor windows, menus, and shortcut buttons. This Section has been written in a specific format, which we hope will help our readers to easily follow the sequence of manual operations required in the considered examples. In particular:
· Individual operations are grouped into STEPs, similarly as in Plane wave excitation and scattering.
· Figures are not numbered but placed directly where referred.
· Italic Times New Romanfont denotes proprietary names and commands of QWsoftware system, as everywhere throughout this manual.
