4.3.14 Cross-Sections

The cross-section is a 2D geometrical object created from an intersection of the selected shape with a cutting plane and is represented in a form of a contour lines.

After selecting the geometry object in the Tree View and clicking  under  button placed in the QW-Modeller Ribbon's Geometry tab, an additional dialogue will appear in the Task Panel. This dialogue allows modifying various cross-sections parameters.

The cross section can be used as a 2D geometry base for further geometrical operations i.e. Extrude or can be converted to the Thin Layer.
