1.1.5 Parameters
QW-Modeller Model tab allows the user to parametrise the model, which subsequently makes it usable in optimisation or grid-search procedures of QW-Simulator.
Project section
Project section contains the following commands:
- creates new QW-Modeller project. See New Project chapter for more information.
- saves QW-Modeller project with the current name (if the project has not been saved yet, the Save QW-Modeller Project dialogue will appear).
- opens QW-Modeller (or other supported format) project.
- opens Save QW-Modeller Project dialogue for introducing project file name.
- constructs QuickWave components tree in the Tree View.

Edit section
Edit section contains the following commands:
- undo operation
- redo operation
- copy selected object(s)
- paste copied object(s)
- duplicate selected object(s)
- select all objects
- box selection in the 3D view
Spreadsheet section
Spreadsheet section contains the following commands:
- creates new spreadsheet object in the active document. This object allows to create complex formulas for various properties in the project.
- imports csv file into new spreadsheet object.
- exports current spreadsheet objectto csv file.
- merges two selected cells into one in current spreadsheet object.
- splits selected cells (previously merged) in current spreadsheet object.
- sets alias for selected cell. Alias allows to further access cell value (or its expression) within the project, through a known name. Otherwise user has to use cell address.
- changes active workbench to Spreadsheet Workbench, an environment specifically for manipulation of spreadsheet objects. Some less important advanced functionality can be accessed only through this environment.
Parameters section
Parameters section contains the following commands:
- opens QW-Parameters dock window that allows defining user variables
Geometry section
Geometry section contains the following commands:
- switches to Geometry tab of QW-Modeller Ribbon
Model section
Model section contains the following commands:
- switches to Model tab of QW-Modeller Ribbon
- opens Boundary Conditions dialogue with options for project boundaries configuration. See Borders chapter for more information.
- opens Mesh Settings dialogue with options for FDTD mesh configuration. See Mesh Settings chapter for more information.
- recalculates FDTD mesh.
- opens Mesh Inspect dialogue with FDTD mesh information. See Mesh Inspect chapter for more information.
Help section
Help section contains the following command:
- opens help for Parameters commands (present chapter)
