5.1.3 Main Menu
When Fields Monitor window is opened, QW-Simulator main menu is supplemented with Setup group of commands dedicated for the active Fields Monitor window.
The same commands are also accessible through the context menu, which can be invoked by pressing the right mouse button over the 2D or 3D displays.
Most of the commands included in the main menu are the same as in the Fields Monitor window Ribbon, but there are also additional commands which will be described here.
- switches to the next fields monitor, if more than one have been set in the project
- switches to the previous frequency, if more than one have been set for field monitor
- switches to the next frequency, if more than one have been set for field monitor
- opens Monitors Settings dialogue for choosing fields monitor and frequency for the display
- starts field animation (this command will then change to
). Field animation is available only for Fields Monitor 3D.
- stops field animation
- opens Delay dialogue for setting delay for field animation
- displays real part of selected field component
- displays imaginary part of selected field component
Fields Monitor window is equipped with option for importing (loading) fields monitor component distribution from file and the additional Monitor->FDM Envelope menu will be available.
- allows the user to set several fields monitor *.fm3 files for further processing
- enables calculation of average value of the fields values included in files from the fields monitor files set list e.g. in files 1.fm3, 2.fm3, 3.fm3 etc..
- enables extraction of envelope maximum value of the fields values included in files from the fields monitor files set list e.g. in files 1.fm3, 2.fm3, 3.fm3 etc..
- enables the conversion of all files from the FDM files set list to the fm3 auxiliary format, where information about analysed circuit geometry shape is stored as a link to shape file (*.sh3)

- saves all available components to the *.fm3 files
- saves the currently displayed component to the *.fm3 file
- saves the current display to the *.bmp, *.jpg or *.png file
- copies the current display to the Clipboard
- exports the current display to the *.bmp file
- exports the current display to the *.jpg file
- exports the current display to the *.png file
