6.1.8    Plane Wave

The Draw->Plane Wave Box command from 2D Window menu indicates manual drawing of a Plane Wave box.

We suggest alternative and more convenient way of introducing the plane wave box using Plane Wave dialogue.

The plane wave box is being introduced on the current level and with the current height. To change current height and level settings please use Define Level dialogue.

To introduce a box we draw a rectangle. Click the left mouse button two times to mark its corners or by entering the coordinates from the Keyboard Entry dialogue. The box will be created at the current level, with current height and with the size in XY plane corresponding to the drawn rectangle.

After drawing the plane wave box we can invoke Select Element command to see it on the list. It can be edited or deleted like other elements. In particular, we can change the basic parameters of the plane wave box through the Edit I/O Port dialogue.

We suggest alternative and more convenient way of introducing the plane wave box using Plane Wave dialogue or by using special plane wave box generating UDOs available in the UDO library.
