2.9.1   Linear Polarisation for 3D structures

The button_radiation_linear button in Radiation tab and Antenna Settings->Polarisation->Linear command from main menu or context menu show 2D radiation pattern results in Linear polarisation.

The button_radiation_2dchart button in Radiation tab and Antenna Settings->2D Chart… command from main menu or context menu invoke Radiation Patterns dialogue for changing 2D radiation pattern parameters.

The XY and Polar charts are available for 2D radiation pattern results.

For 3D structures, the 2D radiation pattern with linear polarisation results are absolute values and phases of the theta- and phi- components at NTF frequencies and contain four curves per each NTF frequency. |Etheta|, <Etheta, |Ephi| and <Ephi results.

More information regarding linear polarisation definition can be found in Linear Polarisation.

When characteristics at a single NTF frequency are displayed, the status bar presents additional information about radiation parameters.

When the display includes characteristics at more than one NTF frequency, the information about radiation parameters are displayed in the Values pane in the Antenna Parameters column. The Values pane contains information about visible curves such as name, domain, and value under active cursor and other parameters in separated columns, which can be chosen in Select Column dialogue.

2.9.1.1    Diffraction orders in 3D periodic structures

The button_radiation_periodic button in Radiation tab and Antenna Settings->Show Periodic NTF command from main menu or context menu indicate directions of possible diffraction orders in 3D periodic structures.
