19th International Conference on Microwave and High-Frequency Applications:
AMPERE 2023

AMPERE 2023 — 19th International Conference on Microwave & High-Frequency Applications
We joined the community in Cardiff to present our research, run modelling workshops, and meet peers at our exhibition site.
Exhibition — what we showed
Our booth showcased QWED’s innovations for microwave & high-frequency applications. We enjoyed meeting researchers, industry experts, and enthusiasts throughout the week.
Modelling Workshops
Foundations & practice for microwave-power modelling
Topics
Finite Element Method (FEM) and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD), with application principles in COMSOL Multiphysics® and QuickWave™.
Format
Introductory lectures, real-world case studies, and two optional hands-on sessions offering step-by-step modelling in both environments.
Technical presentation
Fast and Rigorous BoR FDTD Algorithm for the Modeling of Coupled EM-Thermal Processes in Axisymmetrical Devices
Location: Wallace Lecture Theatre
We presented a BoR (body-of-revolution) FDTD approach enabling efficient, coupled EM-thermal simulations for axisymmetric devices, and discussed application examples with attendees.
