Exhibition — what we showed

Our booth showcased QWED’s innovations for microwave & high-frequency applications. We enjoyed meeting researchers, industry experts, and enthusiasts throughout the week.

Modelling Workshops

Organised byDr. Marzena Olszewska-Placha & Prof. Vadim V. Yakovlev

Foundations & practice for microwave-power modelling

Topics

Finite Element Method (FEM) and Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD), with application principles in COMSOL Multiphysics® and QuickWave™.

Format

Introductory lectures, real-world case studies, and two optional hands-on sessions offering step-by-step modelling in both environments.

Technical presentation

Fast and Rigorous BoR FDTD Algorithm for the Modeling of Coupled EM-Thermal Processes in Axisymmetrical Devices

Location: Wallace Lecture Theatre

We presented a BoR (body-of-revolution) FDTD approach enabling efficient, coupled EM-thermal simulations for axisymmetric devices, and discussed application examples with attendees.

Project support

Our participation was supported by ULTCC6G_EPac and I4Bags. We appreciate their contribution to the results we presented.

Thank you

Thanks to everyone who attended our talk, joined the workshops, and visited our stand. We look forward to future collaborations.

Stay in touch

Interested in BoR-FDTD, EM-thermal co-simulation, or hands-on modelling with QuickWave/COMSOL? We’re happy to share slides, examples, and demo projects.
