Our sessions

Keynote08:00–08:20

Accurate Materials’ Testing as an Enabler for Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Industries

Presenter: Dr. Małgorzata Celuch (QWED Sp. z o.o.)

  • Overview of QWED’s instruments and methods for materials’ characterization
  • Round-robin benchmarking with Electronics Manufacturing Initiative partners
  • Computational modelling examples clarifying method physics & cross-instrument correlations
  • New applications from EU projects: MMAMA, NanoBat, ULTCC6G_EPac, I4BAGS, 5G_Foil
Technical presentation08:20–08:40

A Novel Q-Choked Resonator for Microwave Material Measurements Alleviating Sample Thickness Limitations of Existing Techniques

Presenter: Dr. Marzena Olszewska-Placha (QWED Sp. z o.o.)

We introduced a 10 GHz Q-Choked Split Cavity Resonator (Q-SCR) designed, built, and validated on sapphire samples up to 2 mm thick, demonstrating strong agreement with reference data and a roadmap toward mmWave Q-SCRs.

Key takeaways

Traceable testing
Round-robin benchmarking supports trust in material parameters.
Design enablement
Accurate dielectric/loss data drives better RF & mmWave products.
New resonator class
Q-SCR mitigates thickness limits of classic techniques.

Let’s keep in touch

Want to discuss benchmarking, integrate resonator-based data into your flows, or pilot Q-SCR at mmWave? We’re happy to share datasets and workflows.
