Our most recent gathering took place in the historic heart of Gdańsk, a city rich with maritime heritage and forward-looking innovation. This third in-person and eighth overall bimonthly meeting marked a significant checkpoint in the progress of the 5G Foil Project.
Hosted in a venue that encouraged focused discussion and collaboration, the day began with formal project sessions where key updates were shared, challenges were addressed, and future strategies were mapped out. The atmosphere was energetic and purposeful, reflecting the consortium’s shared commitment to pushing technological boundaries in the domain of flexible, foil-based 5G systems.
After a brief intermission for coffee and networking, discussions continued, diving deeper into technical progress and coordination among work packages. Constructive debate and insightful presentations carried us through to a well-earned lunch at the nearby Festoria restaurant, where partners continued informal conversations over excellent local cuisine.
The afternoon brought a stimulating seminar by Thomas Devahif, whose expertise shed light on emerging perspectives critical to our research. His talk sparked thoughtful dialogue, enriching the remainder of the day’s exchanges.
The formal portion of the meeting closed with concluding discussions, during which the consortium synthesized the day’s insights and reaffirmed upcoming milestones. But the day didn’t end there.
In the evening, partners came together for a guided tour of Gdańsk starting at “Przystań przy Zielonym Moście.” This cultural interlude not only showcased the city’s charm but also strengthened the personal bonds within the team—an essential ingredient in any successful long-term collaboration.
Overall, the meeting in Gdańsk proved to be a dynamic blend of technical rigor and collegial engagement, reaffirming our shared momentum as the 5G Foil Project moves into its next phase.
