2       Post-processings Results

QW-Simulator allows watching how the frequency dependent characteristics of the analysed structure are being calculated. These characteristics can be produced by distinctive post-processing algorithms defined in the project and can be displayed in the Results window:

·       S-Parameters and SWR & GD results

·       FD-Probing, including FD-Probing for Contours results

·       Power Available results

·       Near To Far transformation at Fixed Angle (NTF Fixed Angle, Antenna Fixed Angle or NTFFA) results (only in QW-3D)

·       2D Radiation Patterns (Near-to-Far) results

Results window can be invoked from Results tab of QW-Simulator Ribbon using commands from Results, S-Parameters, SWR & GD, FD-Probing, Power, NTFFA, and 2D Radiation Pattern sections.

In the case of S-Parameters and SWR & GD results, Results window will immediately appear after pressing an appropriate button.

In the case of FD-Probing results, depending on the number of FD-Probing post-processings defined in the project, the FD-Probing section may change:

results_fdprobing      results_fdprobing2      results_fdprobing3

button_fd - opens Results window with FD-Probing results

button_fd2 - the triangle indicates that there are more than 1 FD-Probing post-processings available and their list is displayed after pressing the button

button_fd_point1, button_fd_point2, … - open Results window with FD-Probing results for specified source, probe or contour

button_fd_showall - opens FD-Probing Postprocessings dialogue for choosing FD-Probing results to be shown

In the case of Power Available results, depending on the number of Power Available post-processings defined in the project, the Power section may change:

results_pav      results_pav2      results_pav3

button_pav - opens Results window with Power Available results

button_pav2 - the triangle indicates that there are more than 1 Power Available post-processings available and their list is displayed after pressing the button

button_pav_point1, button_pav_point2, … - open Results window with Power Available results for specified source port

button_pav_aall - opens Power Available Postprocessings dialogue for choosing Power Available results to show

In the case of NTF Fixed Angle results, depending on the number of NTFFA post-processings available in the project, the NTFFA section may change:

results_ntffa      results_ntffa2      results_ntffa3

button_ntffa - opens Results window with NTF Fixed Angle results

button_ntffa2 - the triangle indicates that there are more than 1 NTFFA postprocessings available and their list is displayed after pressing the button

results_ntffa_12, results_ntffa_34 - open Results window with NTF Fixed Angle results for specified post-processing

results_ntffa_all - opens NTF Fixed Angle Postprocessings dialogue for choosing NTF Fixed Angle results to be shown

In the case of 2D Radiation Pattern results, an additional Radiation Patterns dialogue will appear for setting 2D radiation pattern parameters, such as angles range, step, etc.

Results window can also be invoked using appropriate commands from Results menu of QW-Simulator main menu.

The Results window is also used for:

·       Dispersive Media Chart,

·       viewing the Objective defined as a text file for the optimisation,

·       viewing the first, best and last results during the optimisation process,

·       viewing the Goal Function convergence during the optimisation process,

·       viewing results loaded from file.
