19th International Conference on Microwave and High-Frequency Applications: AMPERE 2023
11-14 September 2023 Cardiff, UK

Conference website: http://www.ampere2023.com
We were thrilled to participate in the 19th International Conference on Microwave and High-Frequency Applications: AMPERE 2023, held from September 11th to 14th in Cardiff, UK.

Exhibition Site
At the conference, we had the privilege of showcasing our innovative work at our exhibition site. Our team was excited to engage with fellow researchers, experts, and enthusiasts in the field of microwave and high-frequency applications.
Modelling Workshops
One of the highlights of the conference was the Modelling Workshops organized by our very own Dr. Marzena Olszewska-Placha, in collaboration with Prof. Vadim V. Yakovlev. These workshops aimed to introduce attendees to the fundamental concepts, techniques, and practices of computer modeling for microwave power systems and processes.

Workshop Overview:
Topics: The workshop covered two essential topics - the Finite Element Method and the Finite Difference Time Domain Technique, along with their application principles in COMSOL Multiphysics® and QuickWaveTM.
Case Studies: The introductory lectures were followed by presentations of real-world case studies, showcasing successful modeling projects. These case studies included problem formulations, solutions, and interpretation of results.
Hands-On Sessions: For those interested, the workshop also offered two optional hands-on sessions. Participants had the opportunity to gain practical experience through step-by-step modeling processes in both COMSOL Multiphysics® and QuickWaveTM.
Presentation: "Fast and Rigorous BoR FDTD Algorithm"
We were delighted to present our research entitled "Fast and Rigorous BoR FDTD Algorithm for the Modeling of Coupled EM-Thermal Processes in Axisymmetrical Devices". The presentation took place at the Wallace Lecture Theatre as part of the Modelling and Numerical Techniques II session on Thursday, September 14th.
Our presentation aimed to provide insights into our cutting-edge algorithm and its applications in simulating coupled electromagnetic-thermal processes in axisymmetrical devices. We were thrilled to share our research and engage in discussions with fellow attendees.

Thank you to all who attended our presentation and visited our exhibition site at AMPERE 2023. We look forward to future collaborations and advancements in the field of microwave and high-frequency applications.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the ULTCC6GEpac and I4Bags projects for their invaluable support and collaboration, which greatly contributed to the success of our participation in AMPERE 2023. Their commitment to advancing research and innovation in the field of microwave and high-frequency applications has been instrumental in our achievements.
