1st Space Microwave Week

Noordwijk, Netherlands
May 8-12, 2023
We recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in the first-ever Space Microwave Week Conference. The conference took place at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC), which is part of the European Space Agency (ESA). Located in Noordwijk, The Netherlands, ESTEC is renowned as the largest space research and technology center in Europe. With state-of-the-art facilities and a rich history of space exploration, ESTEC provided the perfect backdrop for this groundbreaking event.

This landmark event brought together experts, researchers, and industry professionals from around the world to explore the latest advancements and breakthroughs in the field of space microwave technology. We, at QWED, were thrilled to be a part of this prestigious gathering, and we are excited to share our experience and the highlights of our presentation.

As a provider of measurement solutions for the microwave industry, QWED played an active role in the conference. Our team was honored to present a session entitled "Benchmarking of Current Industrial Best Practices and Emerging Techniques for the Consistent Electric and Dielectric Characterization of Materials from Microwave to Millimeter-Wave Ranges." This presentation aimed to shed light on the most effective methods for characterizing materials across a wide frequency spectrum, essential for the successful design and development of space microwave systems.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers of the Space Microwave Week Conference for their meticulous planning and seamless execution. Their dedication and commitment to advancing the field of space microwave technology have created a platform for meaningful exchanges and fruitful collaborations.

The first Space Microwave Week Conference was a resounding success, bringing together experts and enthusiasts from various domains of space microwave technology. QWED's participation, including our engaging presentation and the introduction of our projects, I4BAGS and ULTCC6G_Epac, further enriched the event. We look forward to future editions of this conference and the opportunity to continue contributing to the progress of space microwave technology.
