6.1 Manual Drawing
The button in the 2D Window toolbar and Draw->I/O Ports... command from 2D Window menu invoke I/O Ports dialogue which can be used for drawing ports in a manual way. The following types of ports are available:
Point Source/Probe describes a port defined by its current and voltage at certain nodes. We suggest alternative and more convenient way of introducing the point source or probe port using Point/Probe dialogue.
Transmission Line describes a port defined by integrals of fields over a cross-section of an arbitrary transmission line. We suggest alternative and more convenient way of introducing the transmission line port using Transmission Line Port dialogue.
Absorbing Wall describes a port used for absorbing termination with the Mur with superabsorbing absorbing boundary condition. We suggest alternative and more convenient way of introducing the absorbing boundary condition using ABC Wall or ABC Box dialogues.
PML Wall describes a port used for absorbing termination with the Perfectly Matched Layer absorbing boundary condition. We suggest alternative and more convenient way of introducing the absorbing boundary condition using ABC Wall or ABC Box dialogues.
Lumped Impedance describes a lumped impedance. We suggest alternative and more convenient way of introducing the lumped impedance using Lumped Impedance dialogue.
The button in the 2D Window toolbar and Draw->Special Planes/Boundaries... command from 2D Window menu invoke Special Planes and Boundaries dialogue which can be used for drawing Special (Snapping) Planes, Symmetry Planes or Boundaries in a manual way. We suggest alternative and more convenient way of introducing the Special (Snapping) Planes, Symmetry Planes or Boundaries using Snapping Plane dialogue.
The Draw->Wire command from 2D Window menu indicates manual drawing of a wire.
The Draw->NTF Box command from 2D Window menu indicates manual drawing of a NTF box inside a box consisting of absorbing walls. We suggest alternative and more convenient way of introducing the NTF box using NTF dialogue and introducing the absorbing boundary condition using ABC Wall or ABC Box dialogues.
The Draw->Plane Wave Box command from 2D Window menu indicates manual drawing of a Plane Wave box. We suggest alternative and more convenient way of introducing the plane wave box using Plane Wave dialogue.
